Handknit Flower - make 1 as an accessory item, make 10 to form a bouquet for house decor

 
Materials
100% Cotton from Lily Sugar n' Cream or Lion Cotton
1 Yarn Needle

Instructions
Handknit 28 rows, end off (see Start Hand Knitting to get started).
Leave long end for sewing later.
Gently pull to straighten the strip and tidy up ends..
Join the ends by tying a knot to form a ring. Next, form 5 petals out of the strip. With a yarn needle, thread one yarn end. Secure the petals by sewing the centre of the petals together, sew 2 more rounds to secure the center of flower.
For stalk of flower, handknit 12 rows, end off. Sew onto back of flower.
Insert pipe cleaner or any soft wire to allow the stalk to stand.
